San Antonio Chapter of NAHN

Adios from Past President

Posted almost 4 years ago

Greetings to All:

I hope everyone had a most patriotic July 4th Celebration, and a safe and joyous one.

This is to let you know that my tenure as President of SA NAHN has ended. After 6 years at the helm, it is time for a change. I have enjoyed it immensely the majority of the time, but some times it was difficult. I started the NAHN Chapter in Corpus Christi in 2009 and was the president until around 2012, so it kind of seems like it did not end from there to here.

I have met some great people along the way, great friendships have been forged, and now I have a family all over the US. Nothing compares to the feeling of "familia" when we meet up at conferences and start right up as though there has been no time apart.

Hopefully, this is what we can one day develop here in SA - a true feeling of being one united group moving toward one main goal.  We come from so many diverse cultures, but that is what will make us stronger. All of us have that uniqueness to give. So moving forward, let us try to join in with what we have. Right now, we are constrained by  "Corona" but fortunately, Zoom has come along to offer the ability to meet via audio and/or visual. Let's go for it!!

So, now that Norma Avitua is the new Chapter President for SA NAHN, let us give her all our support so that we can grow SA to be one of the strongest chapters in helping out our community. We can do so much by working as a team.  Si se puede!!

Wishing everyone safety from Covid19, and thanking you for your support over these past 6 years,

Con Respeto y Cariño,

Rose Caballero
